My Aunt Mary Lee was a beautiful soul, inside and out. She was such an elegant, and classy lady; a role model to us all. She was a great educator and encouraged everyone in our family to strive for academic excellence. During our family reunions, she would highlight the graduating seniors and ensure they were sent off to college with a college fund. One of the memories that I will always cherish, is when she traveled to North Carolina for my wedding 26 years ago and on the way from the airport to the church, she was pulled over by the police for speeding. She told him she was trying to get to my wedding and since he stopped her, he can lead her to the church. That was my dear Aunt Mary Lee. She is dearly loved and will be missed; until we meet again. Nikki

To the family of Mary Lee Ervin...You have my heartfelt sympathy & prayers as your loved ones transitions to another life.
Mary & I have several things in common...Membership in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Retired Employees Of Baltimore City Public School System & last but not least a Love for God!
Mary was a classic. None like her! She was fashionable, friendly & a likable person and coworker. Mary always demonstrated professionalism, perfection and hard work.
This is what she expected of her students, staff and peers.
Mary will definitely be missed, especially, her smile that greeted you and radiated a room when she entered!
Good News Family...Joy Comes in The Morning!
In Love & Sympathy,
Veatrice Holmes

My condolences to Kelvonne Kenneth and Eddie.
I met Miss Mary through my sister friend Kelvonne.
I immediately knew when I met Miss Mary that I was in the presence of excellence, her naturally regal way just made me stand up tall and put my shoulders back. It was obvious how much she loved Kelvonne and expected her and simultaneously me to be the best versions of ourselves, she conveyed it without judgment but at the same time you knew she meant business. Miss Mary loved God so Heaven truly has a beautiful new Angel. Let the choir say “Mary you did well” “Mary you did well”! IAM so blessed to still remember the way you made me feel, to see you in my presence and remember the loving energy you conveyed as well as the wise words you spoke. Love Always RIH Miss Mary Irvin . Mary Ervin was a second mother to me. Kenneth Ervin was my second dad. I was blessed to have her enter my life while I was in high school and she never left. I was fortunate to spend many holidays with her family including Gran and Gramps. In addition, she and Mr. Ervin knew about my desire and encouraged me to become an Omega and during my last year in high school, they took me with them to the Omega Psi Phi, Fraternity, Inc. Conclave in Denver. She was very proud and excited when I finally became an Omega Man like Mr. Ervin. I remember and cherish all of those times!! She was supportive and excited in every journey of my life and always gave me that amazing bright and beautiful smile. My status in her life continued to grow. Initially, I was called Gary, later Mr. Gary and finally "My Gary." But when I messed up, I got that famous Mary Ervin STARE!!!
As a second mother would do, she was there for me when I lost my father and mother. I could always count on her support and love.
Ms. Ervin is the classic role model of an African-American woman. She loved God first. She loved her family (especially her amazing daughters); she was excited and proud and loved her grandchildren. She loved her career as an educator and when she got home from work, you could see the sincerity, pride and excitement in her work. She was a proud and active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and adored her friends. I remember always being amazed at how stylish and proud she was. She loved playing Bridge and she lived her life like the best Bridge hand imaginable.
My second mom was a proud alumnus of Tennessee State University and just being around her made you want to achieve a higher education and to get it at an HBCU. I loved her dearly and although I will miss her physical presence and energy, her spirit will always be with me.
My condolences, prayers and love are extended to the family. We all are feeling the pain of her physical absence but we can rest knowing that she is now in the comfort of our heavenly fathers arms. We will make her the most proud by keeping our heads up and pursuing excellence in everything that we do. That is how she lived her life!
Much love,
Gary C. Harrington, M.D.

My Aunt Mary Lee was a very lovely person. My father
Thomas Bond’s sister of Kingsport Tennessee. I always loved when my city aunt would come home to Tn. With her beautiful clothes and fancy new cars. She would always cut up with me about my boyfriends. Her daughter Kelvonne and I would try to slip away to hang out but she would always catch us. I have missed you for a long time auntie and I will continue to miss you, but I know you are not suffering anymore. Until we meet again ❤️you. Crystal Bond
