The Maggid Family is heartbroken after recently finding out about Lorna's passing. She was a huge part of our lives growing up and sang at 3 out of 4 of our family weddings. She recently reached out to me after losing touch for the past 15+ years. My sister and I met up with her for dinner in November 2019. It was amazing to see her!! We kept in touch hoping to see her again soon, then COVID hit and the shutdown. My last communication with her was in July 2020. I see that she passed only a few months later. Totally shocked! If possible, I would love to reach out to a family member to talk more. My email is: mmags26@verizon.net (Marilyn Maggid Harris)

I met Lorna when she performed at the senior center where I was the manager. She and I bonded instantly. I admired the jewelry that she was wearing. She told me she made it. We had common interests - I make jewelry and sew. However, singing was not my gift. Lorna had that area solid. She invited me to her lovely apartment and it was if I had decorated it myself. We lost contact when she relocated. I thought of her often and decided to look her up. My condolences to her love ones. Lynn Williams

The Lord is near to all who call;
He promised in His holy Word
That if we will draw near to Him,
Our faintest cry will be heard.
May God continue to bless and comfort all of you! You are in my thoughts and prayers.

We had the pleasure of meeting Lorna through our brother, Gordon Thorn. We requested her to sing at our Family Reunion Gateway in 2015. We will never forget how she blessed our family with her loving incredible voice. Lorna, you are singing among the angels now! We pray that the Lord gives the family comfort and strength. - The Thorn Family
