Obituary of Vandora Walker

Mother Vandora Walker was born in South Hill Virginia, on January 26, 1946 to her late parents, Mr. Mrs. Junious Walker. She transitioned from this earth to her heavenly home on August 22, 2020. Mother Walker lived in Severna Park, Maryland. Throughout the duration of her early years, she resided in Passaic, NJ. Under the tutelage of her late Mother Vela Walker she took a great interest in sewing. She became very skillful at it, which led her to become a well sought after seamstress; specializing in African attire. Mother Walker's call to ministry came in the mid 80's while under the leadership of the late Apostle Ernest Leonard. After completing her courses in his national Bible Institute, she received her Minister's license to preach and teach the salvation message of Jesus Christ her Savior. Her ministry had a positive impact that made a difference and changed lives. Her ever learning and academia continued under the leadership of Dr. Irene Gilmore, and the late great Bishop G.E Paterson, of the Church of God in Christ, where she was Ordained and received her Mother's License. She relocated to the state of Maryland several years ago, to be near her children and family members. Mother Walker loved family! but most of all she loved the Lord! Praising God gave her great Joy! Her favorite scripture was Psalms 91. Mother Vandora Walker was preceded in death by her parents Junious & Vela Walker, one brother Cody Walker, four sisters Maryann Allen, Mother Jean Clayton, Missionary Elaine Willis, Linda Thomas. Her longtime companion, father of her children Robert Richmond. Accompanied with a host of loving relatives and friends. She leaves to remain her loving children, Sabrena Walker Jefferson, Deirdre LaVern Frost, Reverend Robert Walker, Sean Tyrone Walker, and Shelton Griffin. two sisters; Evangelist Iris Evans & Marion Vaughan. In-laws Roberta Mann & John Richmond. Son In-laws Philip Jefferson, Anthony Frost, William Shabshis. Daughter In-law Eyvonne Williamson-Walker. A host of nieces & nephews, 14 grandchildren From the first Phydora Jefferson, to the last Elijah Tymere Walker. 14 Great-Grandchildren, from the first Kashir Robert Lee Hall, to the last Zeus Emmanuel Jefferson. And a host of family, friends, and love ones.
