Obituary of Leon Smith

Leon Smith, age 77, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, in St. Agnes Hospital. Mr. Smith was born in Whiteville, NC on February 13, 1943. Mr. Smith was honorably discharged after serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Smith was employed as a Baltimore City Police Officer. He was proud of his service. A viewing will be held Thursday, September 3, 2020, from 3:30 PM until 6:30 PM at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services - East, 4905 York Road, Baltimore, MD (21212). A celebration of his life will take place 10:30 AM, Friday, September 4, 2020 at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services Chapel. The wake will begin at 10:00 AM. Immediately following the services, the burial will be held in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery.
