Obituary of Venetia Maria Russell

Venetia Maria Russell September 22, 1957 – July 16, 2020 Venetia Maria Thomas Russell, daughter of the late Theodore Thomas and Margaret Thomas Trusty, lost her battle with cancer in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 16, 2020. Venetia is survived by her loving family which includes her husband William Russell, Jr., her daughters Linnea Russell and Turrie Smith (Aaron), her stepsons Tony and Michael Russell (Elizabeth), her brother Theodore Thomas, her sisters Marcia Thomas-Smith (Gary) and Allison Thomas, her sister-in-law Marie Russell, her brothers-in-law Vollie (Shirley), Robert (Brenda) and Michael Russell(Layla), her grandchildren, Maicie and Moriah Jones and Sekou Elliott, her step grand-children Christopher, Jasmine, Bryan, and Michael Russell, Jr, her nieces and nephews, Tony Thomas (Towanda), Ashley Thomas (Gary), Christian Smith and Alan Thomas, her great nieces and nephews, Taylor, Theodore and Torey Thomas, Leah Laster, her Aunt Rosa McRae, her "adopted brother" Danny Coleman, her favorite cousin Sincerial Ferrell as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her older sister Debra Thomas and her nephews Erron Gordon, James Smith and Maleek Russell. A public viewing will be held on Thursday August 6th, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Vaughn C. Greene Funeral Services, 8728 Liberty Road, Randallstown, MD 21133. The Celebration of Venetia's Life will be held Friday, August 7th, 2020. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30, the service will begin immediately following the Wake. The interment will take place at Druid Ridge Cemetery, 7900 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21208.
