Obituary of Janice Cornelia Donaldson

Janice Cornelia Carey was born October 27, 1939, in Baltimore, Maryland to James Carey and Marie Henrietta Jones. Janice attended Baltimore City Public Schools and graduated from Douglas High School in June of 1957. Janice married and later divorced Joffre Junior. From their union, Eric and Dale were born. Janice worked for the United States Post Office, where she advanced to supervisor's level. The Post Office is also where she met, and later married, John. On October 27, 1974, Janice and John Donaldson were married in Columbia, Maryland. They enjoyed 46 years together as husband and wife. Janice and John traveled extensively across the United States and enjoyed an occasional ocean cruise when they had the leisure. They enjoyed entertaining others in their home. Janice was the perfect hostess who showed her love for others in many ways. Janice was a faithful, and active member of Union Baptist Church, in Baltimore for many years. Janice was a member of several Union Baptist organizations. Her favorite ministries were the Usher Board and the Dime Circle. Janice served well, until declining health issues forced her to stop. Janice quietly and peacefully made her transition on June 28, 2020. Janice left behind: husband John A. Donaldson, two sons, Eric and Dale Junior, one son and one daughter by marriage: John Donaldson and Jeanette Coleman, one son in law: Clifton Coleman, grand children: Derrick, Brittany, Jeffrey, Jernell, Kevin, Johnathan, Shawn, Darius, John Emanuel, Vernon Elijah, Clifton Issac, Christian Elizabeth, and a host of cousins, friends, and well-wishers.
