Glenn's Journey Glenn Eugene Harris, firstborn son of Edith West Harris and the late Charles Melvin Harris was born in Seaford, Delaware on August 26, 1960. Glenn departed this life to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 7, 2020. Glenn's parents move to Baltimore, Maryland in 1966. There he began his education in the Baltimore City Schools System. Later, Glenn attended Baltimore County Public Schools graduating from Milford Mill High School in 1979. He received his high school diploma along with an endorsement in Automotive Training from Western Technical High School. With his training as a mechanic, Glenn immediately entered the work force landing a job at age 18 with Alban Lift Truck Company. Glenn worked there for several years and later accepted a higher paying position with McCall Handling Company in parts sales. Glenn worked successfully for McCall Handling 27 years and was recognized several times for achieving top sales. Glenn always had a strong work ethic. As a youngster he delivered newspapers and worked at several fast food restaurants. As a young adult, he continued to maintain his employment with the forklift company, but also enjoyed working several side business ventures (or side hustles as he would say) in his spare time. This was kind of a hobby for him. He never paid much attention to sports but loved sales. Some of those business ventures included moving and hauling, tow truck driver, lawn care service, clothing (hats, shirts, purses etc.) car wash and detailing, beauty salon manager, auction car sales and body oils. Glenn also owned and managed several properties as he had an interest in real estate as well. Glenn accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was a member of Garden of Prayer Christian Church, Melvin Tuggle, Pastor. Later, Glenn met Shelley Beauford and became a member of The Church of the Redeemed of the Lord under the leadership of Dr. Jerome Stokes. Glenn and Shelley were married on November 22, 1997. Glenn is the father of two beautiful daughters; Chenelle Johnson and Rachel Harris. He was very proud of his girls. Glenn faithfully served on the security ministry at The Church of the Redeemed of the Lord for about 18 years until his illness. He loved his family and enjoyed fellowshipping with friends. He was known for his friendly mannerism, greeting people, quick wit and joking, making people laugh and helping in any way he could. Sunday mornings Glenn could be found on the rear parking lot of the church. He would joke with the saints about backing up straight, staying between the lines and not taking up two parking spaces. He loved working security. Glenn would help with everything from getting keys out of locked cars, assisting seniors or offering a ride to someone who needed a lift. He did it with a smile and laughter. Glenn was known for giving young people money for a breakfast sandwich or a gas fill up when he found out they got their first car. He had a giving heart. He would greet families with a hearty hello and take time to speak to the children with a "hey little man" or "hey little lady". Glenn will truly be missed by all his family and many friends.
