Obituary of Frank Lee Thomas

Frank Lee Thomas of Baltimore, MD passed away amongst his loved ones on May 23, 2020 at the age of 78. Frank was born on April 16, 1942 in Lincolnton, GA to the loving parents of Sam George Thomas, Sr. and Martha Lou Norman Thomas. Frank moved from the south to New York City, where he worked a hard 35 years and retired from Crestwood Metal Corporation. Within that 35 years Frank "traveled the world", helping successfully build the company. He would enjoy a steak dinner with a salad every night he got home from work. Frank was known for his generosity. He would host barbeques for the whole block, where his ribs were the star of the show and when the ice cream truck came he would pay for kids that he didn't even know. After his retirement, Frank and Mary moved to Baltimore, MD where he quickly became well-loved in the community. Frank would cut the grass of his neighbors, would lend a helping hand to those in need, and have a very candid conversation with friends when needed. Frank enjoyed sitting on the porch, with his neighbor, George Kelley, sipping on Balletines, and conversing with friends and family. He enjoyed attending the events of his children and grandchildren, and celebrating their accomplishments. Frank was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and he loved to brag when they beat the Baltimore Ravens. As a close family friend stated, Frank was the "largest small man" she ever knew. His presence has always and will always fill a room. Frank lived his life to the fullest, on his terms, by his rules, and leaves behind a legacy to all his friends and family of helping others while always remaining honest and true to yourself. He will be truly missed.
