Obituary of Jeremy Leander Mason

WEB OBIT WEB OBIT WEB OBIT Jeremy Leander Mason, son of Jada Tyson and Leander Mason, was born on August 5, 1991. He received his wings Monday, May 25, 2020. Jeremy had faith and a relationship with God. He was baptized and received his first holy communion at St. Francis Xavier Church. Jeremy was educated in Baltimore City Public Schools. He was a graduate of New Town High School in Owings Mills, MD. He furthered his education by attending the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute. There he received a certificate of completion graduating with honors. He went on to work at BWI airport. Jeremy had determination like no other. As a young child he battled with illness. It was the first time he would be tested and pass with flying colors. He was supposed to be ill but he was always smiling, his jolly joyful soul lit up the room. Everyone loved him. His strong will allowed him to overcome that illness and move forward with his life. While his family worried he was fragile, Jeremy was unafraid and knew that he had the power to do anything. His answer to everyone's fear was "I can do it". Jeremy loved relaxing watching movies or listening to music, he had a laid back personality. His favorite sports team was the Ravens. You often found him in a Ravens hat, Jacket or blanket. Jeremy was well groomed. He did not play when it came to hygiene. He kept a fresh haircut, and always had a brush and Chapstick nearby. He loved talking about anything. A good conversation made his day. He was easy to please. If you asked him what he wanted or needed it was as simple as tea and a crab cake. Jeremy was compassionate, caring and kind. Later in life he would battle illness again. He did it with such grace, like something you never seen before. He was more concerned with everyone else then himself. He would call and check on everyone. His favorite salutation was "How you doing". When asked how he was his favorite line was "I'm A1". Jeremy was a relentless fighter. He showed us all how to fight with grace and courage. God himself called Jeremy home, for nothing on this earth had power over him. Jeremy leaves to cherish his memory, mother Jada Tyson, father Leander Mason, sister Ayanna, brothers, Gerrald, D'Angelo, Leander 3rd, Darius, grandmothers Barbara Stokes and Patricia Parker, grandfathers Ricardo Tyson Sr (Pamela) and Leander Mason Sr, Uncles Jamar Tyson, Ricardo Tyson Jr, Anthony Mason, Damian Mason, Dominick Mason, Jeremy Mason, Jessie Tyson, Aunt Sophia Mason, and a host of cousins, relatives, and special friends.
