Obituary of William Theodore Dorsey

William Theodore Dorsey was born on 1/3/34, to the late William Lewis and Laura Irene Dorsey, in Baltimore, MD. He left this World on 5/18/20, in Laurel, MD, after a brief illness. William or "Buster" (to Family & Childhood Friends) was educated in the Howard County Public School System and Graduated from Harriet Tubman High School in Simpsonville, MD, in 1952. After Graduating, William was employed full time at an array of jobs which included Taylor Furniture Store & (Taylor Manor) currently Shepherd Pratt, both located on Ellicott City, MD. William enlisted in The United States Armed Forces, Army Branch, in 1954 where he served 2 years prior to being Honorably Discharged in 1956. Upon returning home, William gained employment with Modern Machine Mfg. as an Engineer until he retired; which was over 20 Some years. William enjoyed reading and writing scripture; studying Black History& photography. During the Christmas Holiday Season, he enjoyed making Home made Root Beer which he distributed as Gifts to his Family Members. Quite often, William would pen letters of Encouragement to Loving Family Members and Those whom he held in close regard. William was preceded in Death by his Sister, Laura V. Dorsey-Makle; Brother-In-Law, Raymond W Makle, Sr.; and Nephew, Nelson Eugene Makle William leaves to Cherish his memories are: (1) Nephew, Raymond Makle, Jr; (1) Niece, Gloria Makle-Harriston; (1) Great Nephew, Travis Harriston (Bonita); (2) Great-Nieces, June Makle and Olivia Harriston-Sturdivant; (1) Great-Great Nephew; and (3) Great-Great Nieces; and a host of Other Relatives and Loved Ones.
