A Life Reflection of Gil Little, Our MSBC Servant & Friend
As long as I have known Gil, he has been serving God and his people. My initial recollections are with him bringing his lovely wife, Gwen and beautiful daughter, Genee to Morning Star. He was a gentle, quiet spirit. Yet, he could not be missed because of his stately stature. Gil faithfully served as a Deacon and Trustee. He fulfilled his calling in multiple ministries which included Christian education’s discipleship program, manager of MSBC’s Solomon's Corner Book Store, Men's Ministry, Male Chorus, Rites of Passage Mentoring Program for young men, and Budget and Financial Analyst Coordinator for event ticketing and sales. As a member of the MSBC Building Committee, he was an avid supporter of technology and financial system upgrades. He also served on the MSBC Interior Design Committee for our new edifice.
Gil was also a critical resource to the MSBC 5 Star Program, Inc., the 501 c3 community development corporation (CDC), of Morning Star where he fulfilled the role of assistant treasurer and IT advisor for 19 years. The day God called Gil to his just reward, he had coordinated and facilitated the first Board CDC ZOOM meeting. As he had done many times before, Gil ushered the CDC into the era of technology which will forever change how we conduct our meetings. He was a quiet change agent and trailblazer that will forever bless and benefit our lives immeasurably. We find peace in the fact that his legacy of love and servanthood lives on in the many lives he touched. We salute and thank you Gil as you rest in the arms of our loving and faithful Savior!
