I love you Uncle John and I miss you. Always will. You were always a great man and a great Uncle. A man of less words more action and I always knew the love was there. Rest in peace and paradise Uncle John.

My strongest memory of Mr. John Henry was not an experience but of love in action. He raised three girls Myisha, Martina and Peace into three strong, beautiful and productive women. A proud man, a proud father who leaves a legacy of love and family bonds that will be remembered forever. May you rest in the power you’ve earned Mr. John Henry.

I don't have any specific memory as it has been a long time now, I was just a kid however I do remember just what kind of person Mr. Henry was and how he made me feel when I was around him. He was the kind of farther I wished my father was. He was loving, caring, concerned, affectionate, friendly, compassionate, considerate, smart, very funny and vocal. He always made sure he communicated how he felt and would teach the same. He encouraged me to be myself and to always try to see the positive things in people and in life. He didn't ever allow anything , whether it was life's struggles, heartache, even his own health keep him down or as a reason to let go of those aforementioned qualities and lived by example. Mr. Henry has positively impacted my life and part of who I am today bc of the positive example he has been for me. He was more than tolerant but genuinely considerate and kind to all persons no matter what religion, race, sexual orientation or background. I am unapologetically me today and I'd like to say that mr. Henrys influence and impact on me from childhood helped cement that foundation within my being. Mr. Henry was a great father to his kids and even extended that consideration and care to their friends as I felt like he was like a father to me as well, he always made me feel included. He will be missed there isn't a doubt about that, I know he's in a great place right now and deservingly so as he truly was a beautiful, dynamic, great example of how to live life and how to treat others . I love you Mr. Henry thank you for being a part of my life experience. I'll never forget you.

I owe a lot to Mr. Henry and the Henry family. The Henry family took me in during a period of my life that was troubling and in need of guidance from a strong male figure. My time with him has a heavy influence on my life today. Through his actions he showed what it took to be a man and a father. There were times during his budding ailments that he just would not quit “alway saying if I can walk I can work.” Nothing was going to stop him from taking care of “his girls.” Always pushing through. That’s how I remember him, a fighter, and a father. Mr. John I LOVE YOU and thank you. Your legacy and what you stood for will live on through everyone you touch. R.I.P..... Nathan
