We have known both James and Nellie for many years. Throughout the years, we have traveled to Miami, Florida, and Freeport, Grand Bahamas, during the disco days. While traveling along the east coast to Maryland, we would stop in Hartsville, South Carolina. We have been to New York City and Pittsburgh for the Morgan and Grambling football games.
After our move to Arizona, we traveled around the state to Sedona, the Grand Canyon, Tombstone and Monument Valley. James enjoyed attending the Barrett-Jackson Car Shows in January here.
James is sorely missed.

James and I chatted at every 1st Cav Reunion we attended, and I’ll really miss him as a friend. He and dear Nellie were a welcome sight year after year - a wonderful couple who were a joy to see together.

You were a very good roomate when I was in Frederick Villa Nursing Home! We were suppose to walk out the nursing home together but the Lord had another plan for you Mr. James! The Lord wanted you to go to your earthly home for 10 days in preparation to go to your Heavenly Home on Dec 22nd! You will be missed by so many who knew you! Rest In Peace my Friend!

I have been so lucky to have you as my father. You have showed me nothing but LOVE. I am so proud to your "baby girl" and that will never change.. You have always been there for me and I always knew that I cold depend on you for any and everything. No matter what I knew that you would "make it happen".
You showed me what it means to be a real man and how I should never "settle:. You showed me how a real man should behave and how they should treat a lady. You demonstrated this everyday by your love for mommy. Because of you I have high expectations and that will never change. You wanted the best for us and you gave us the tools to do so.
