Who Was "Grace" & Loving Reflections In Loving Memory of Mona Neil Grace Holley, Affectionately Known as "Grace" Mona Neil Grace Holley, cherished daughter of the late Robert and Mary Holley of Blackstock, SC, was a beacon of love and resilience throughout her life's journey. Born into a family of six siblings, she was the vibrant sixth child of this beautiful union. Grace's passage is marked by a profound sense of loss, as she joins her departed siblings, including her dear sister Louise Stevenson, and four beloved brothers: Woodrow, Robert Sr., Walter, and Emmanuel Sr. Additionally, she reunites with her beloved son, John Stewart, and her late husband, Alfred Greene of NC. Educated in the halls of Baltimore City Public Schools and Baltimore City Community College, Grace embarked on a career dedicated to public service. For over 27 years, she served with unwavering commitment as a Supervisory Assistant Lead Case Manager in the State of Maryland Department of Social Services, earning the trust and respect of all who crossed her path. Grace's generous spirit knew no bounds. She found joy in preparing scrumptious holiday feasts for her family and friends, indulging in retail therapy, and enjoying the thrill of the casino. Yet, her true richness lay in her boundless capacity for kindness. Known for her selflessness, Grace would readily give the clothes off her back and the last penny in her pocket to help those in need. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth and acceptance, welcoming individuals from all walks of life. Grace was a fervent advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging embodying these values with unwavering dedication. Left to cherish her memory are her two beloved daughters, Michelle Stewart and Mary Roary, along with her stepsons Sedrick and Bryan. She is also survived by her devoted brothers, Rudolph Holley Sr. (wife Ann) and Vernon Holley Sr. (wife WillieMae), and her cherished baby sister, Darlene Holley-Bolling. Grace's circle of love extends to her best friend, Joanne Ford-Williams, her special daughter, Vanessa Dancy, and her favorite couple, Charlene and Todd Roland. Above all, she leaves behind a vast community of godchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws, neighbors, and friends from the shopping and gambling communities, all deeply touched by her boundless compassion and generosity. Grace's legacy is one of love, kindness, and inclusivity, a shining example of the profound impact one soul can have on the lives of others. Though she may have departed this earthly realm, her spirit of compassion and goodwill will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her memory be a blessing and may her light shine on in the hearts of those she touched.
