Obituary of Starlet Jean Redman
Starlet Jean Redman, the cherished daughter of Geraldine Redman, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on March 8th, 2024, in Baltimore, Maryland. Born in Petersburg, West Virginia, she attended Petersburg High School, where she met and fell in love with Wayne Redman, her devoted husband. Together, they journeyed to Baltimore, where they eloped and built a nurturing home for their family, a legacy that will span generations.
Starlet embraced her roles as a devoted wife, nurturing mother, and doting grandmother, demonstrating not only a keen eye for fashion and design but also a compassionate and caring nature. She served as a dedicated member and pastor's aide at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, where her unwavering faith and commitment to serving others shone brightly.
Survived by her beloved husband, Wayne Redman, and siblings Arther Redman, Lisa Redman, and Tina Redman, Starlet was also preceded in death by her brother, Terry Redman. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Wayne Redman Jr , daughter -in law- Quinn Redman, Darren Redman, daughter- in -law Stormetta J. Redman , Ardella "Danielle" Redman and her late daughter, Mona "Neicy" Redman.
Starlet's impact extends through her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Carnell "Pookie" Murray, Travis Redman, Parish Redman, Lashawn "Shawna" Smith, Traylen Redman, Jamal Redman, Ashley Smith, Raymond "Man" Turnage, Tyshae "Mooda" Redman, Deshane Gordon, Kip Benson Jr., Niamyah Benson, Caniyah Murray, Talan Jones, Kaliyah Branch, Darrian Johnson, Nyla Redman, Jesiah Redman, Savanna Redman, Tristan Redman, Nevaeh Turnage, Caylei Branch, Harley Jones, London Jones, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
She will be fondly remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the love she shared with everyone she knew. Starlet's legacy will continue to inspire and uplift all whose lives she touched, leaving an indelible mark on her family and community.
On Monday, April 1, 2024, Friends may visit Vaughn C. Greene Funeral Services, 4905 York Road, Baltimore, MD 21212, from 4:00 - 7:00PM. On Tuesday, April 2, 2024, services for Mrs. Redman will be held at Mount Pleasant Church and Ministries, 6000 Radecke Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21206, where the family will receive friends from 10:30 - 11:00AM with services to follow.
The interment will take place at Garrison Forest Veteran Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117, immediately following services.
