Obituary of Vernon Fisher

Vernon Fisher was born on June 30, 1956, in Baltimore Maryland to the late Walter N. Fisher and Lillian Fisher. He was raised in foster care by Lena Hembry whom he called his mother. He peacefully departed this life on November 20, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Vernon graduated from Caver Vocational Technical High School in 1975. While in high school he studied carpentry. He was an excellent student and as a young boy, he loved playing basketball. After High School he attended Baltimore City Community College. Carpentry was his trade and helped build the Baltimore city subways and also helped build houses. Vernon worked for Aramark at the Memorial Stadium in 1993 and continue to work for them when they transitioned to Camden yards and M&T Bank Stadium for 30 years. He also helped out at the Baltimore Arena (CFG Bank Arena). In 1975 he met Diane and the would go on to have a daughter Kimberly. They would marry in 1994. He loved the Baltimore Ravens and never missed watching a game. He loved casinos and always had a lottery ticket on hand hoping to strike it rich one day. Vernon was very handy and could fix anything. He loved his tools. His sister(Ovella) brought him to Christ before he departed his life. Vernon is survived by his wife,Diane Fisher; his daughter, Kimberly Fisher, one granddaughter, Kendall Fisher. He also leaves behind two sisters, Gloria Beasley, Ovella Fisher-Nock (Jerome), one brother Norman Fisher; and a host of other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
