Obituary of Marion Loretta Anderson

Marion Loretta "Bea" Anderson was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and friend. After battling a lengthy illness and several hospital stays she left this world peacefully on October 31, 2022 at the age of 83. She was born to the late James Robert and Lou Ethel Brown on March 4, 1939, in Sussex County, Virginia. She was educated in the Sussex County Virginia school system. Marion was blessed with two sons Grayolin and Derke Brown before meeting the love of her life Isaiah Anderson, Sr, whom she married on February 6, 1960. From that union came Isaiah Jr, Janet and Anthony. They later moved their family to Baltimore, MD for better job opportunities. Marion affectionally known as "Granny" lived a beautiful life filled with family and friends. She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. She loved to feed you whether you were hungry or not. If things weren't right, she would straighten you out. She loved music and hosting gatherings for family and friends. There were several people whose lives she impacted. She was very fond of the Emala and Finney families during the many years she spent working for them. She also had two dear friends and traveling companions, Sarah, who proceed her in death and her "Sis" Eveline. Marion had a devoted niece Mary and close cousin, Mike, that was by her side until she took her last breath. Proceeding her in death was her husband Isaiah, Sr., son Derke, brothers Woodley (Delores) and Leroy (Bertha), and sister Earlene (Johnny). She leaves to mourn her death four children Grayolin (Karen), Isaiah, Jr., Janet (Jerry), Anthony; two sisters Bessie (Henry) and Alice; six grandchildren Danielle (Neal), Vcente, Christina (Marc), Tiara, Charita (Markus), Derrick; eight great-grandchildren Amber, Vcente Jr., Claude III, Amarri, Markus Jr., Madison, Zanaya, Cameron; two great-great grandchildren Divinity and Ivy and a host of other relatives and friends.
