Obituary of Marie Vetrina Wesley
Marie Vetrina (Trina) Wesley was born Marie Vetrina McCullough to Vastine and Eleanor McCullough on June 29, 1972 in Baltimore, Maryland. She received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated in 1990, with honors, from Western Senior High School. She gave her life to Christ and was baptized as a teenager at Pilgrim Christian Baptist Church of Deliverance under the leadership of Pastor and Founder Linnion Wilson.
She met and fell in love with her high school sweetheart James O. Wesley while working her very first job at Sizzler Restaurant in Pikesville, Maryland. They were married on August 3, 1991 and out of that union came four childrenb DeAndre, Felecia, Keyone and Matthew. She loved her family very much and was very proud of her children. She diligently served as Youth Ministry Leader, Deaconess, and Leader of the Culinary Committee at Pilgrim Christian Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor James E. Forman.
She held many jobs retiring from The Baltimore City Detention Center / Central Booking and Intake Facility as a Correctional Officer Lieutenant in May of 2013 due to a work-related injury.
She loved to sing and make others laugh by telling jokes. She also loved her church family and remained a faithful member until her death.
She leaves to cherish in her memory her devoted husband, James; her four children DeAndre, Felecia, Keyone (future daughter-in-law Briana), and Matthew, one granddaughter; L'maya , her parents, Vastine and Eleanor McCullough, three sisters; Carolyn (Kyle), Nakita and Eleanor; her God-daughter Chanel Jackson, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Her three best friends being Adrienne Fields, Deborah Langford (who proceeded her in death), and Denice Hardrick.
