Obituary of Sam Washington Lewis

SAM'S LIFE'S REFLECTIONS Sam was born August 4, 1953, in Charlotte North Carolina to Sam Lewis and Hazel Turner. He excelled through school during his childhood, graduating from Chester Senior High in 1972. He went on to join the United States Army in June of 1972, where he served as a Lieutenant Weapons Infantryman. While in the Army, Sam received a National Defense Service Medal, his SharpShooters Badge, Expert Badge with .45 caliber pistol, a 2nd Class Badge with an M-203, and Expert Badge with the M-16 and an Expert Badge with Grenades. He served until June of 1978 when he was honorably discharged. Sam was a God-fearing man who loved to read his bible, and kept a huge smile on his face! He leaves behind his three sons, Gerrod, Antonio, and Eric Lewis, one Daughter-In-Law, Tameka Lewis, four Grandchildren, A'myni, Zakiya, Layla, and Eric Lewis Jr, one Sister, Sylvia Hope, two Brothers, Bobby and Curtis, along with their Wives Mac, and Monique Lewis. Aunt Isamae Bowie of Schererville Indiana. Uncle Charles Wilks of Baltimore MD, and a host of other family and friends who will truly miss and cherish their memories with him!
