Obituary of Thomas Jerome Johnson
Thomas Jerome Johnson was born of the late Thomas Johnson and Dorothy Mae Watkins on February 3, 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland. He went on to eternal life on March 12, 2021.
Thomas received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System, and later joined the Job Corps, where he was stationed in Arizona, and New Mexico.
Thomas met the love of his life, Denise Frazier, and they were married on December 10, 1976. They were married for 44 years.
In Thomas' younger years, he worked at the Baltimore Zoo, completing 20 years of service as a Zoo Keeper. He later completed another 20 years working as a Service Worker for the State of Maryland Dept. of General Services.
After his retirement, Thomas loved spending time with his grandchildren, family, and friends. He enjoyed telling stories of his adventures in Job Corps, and of his time growing up with his six siblings in East Baltimore. He also loved fishing and going to the Casino.
Thomas is proceeded in death by his sisters Irene Waters and Mary Morant.
Thomas leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife of 44 years, Denise Johnson; his children Dorothy, Linnea, and Jerome; six grandchildren; four siblings Lena, William, Jerry, and Jeanette; and a host of other nieces and nephews.
