Florine, affectionately know as Flo, was my shopping buddy. We would go searching for the next best clothing or shoe item together. She was always on point when she stepped out of the house, showing the rest of us how to dress with style and grace. I will forever be grateful for the love and care she showed me when I lost my mom and grandmother, she helped fill a hole in my heart. She was a remarkable woman.

I met Florine more than fifty years ago when I was introduced as a student from Morgan State University. She became my mentor for a semester as an intern at Baltimore City Department of Social Services. There after we became friends. She enjoyed shopping and going to restaurants for lunch or dinner. Not only did we shop, but we also fellowshipped together at her church.
Always energetic, Florine was very professional when it came to business. She had very defined goals. Florine was also known for her stylish attire and her meticulous hair style.
I will miss her smile and laughter.
