Obituary of Immanuel Meres Embry

Immanuel "Manny" Meres Embry was born in Baltimore Maryland alongside his brother Ian, and his sister Victoria-Brooke on April 5, 2005 to parents Veronica Oliver and Isaiah Embry. Manny departed on May 26, 2026 at the age of 21 years old. His compassionate and light hearted personality could always bring a smile to your face and a burst of laughter. Manny received his formal education in the Central York School District. He was homeschooled for two years before he attended the Christian School of York, where he graduated with his high school diploma in 2023. After graduating, he participated in an apprenticeship in welding, mentored by Nathaniel Richardson of Railing Doctor Inc. As a child, Manny loved to pursue his passions of football and basketball, playing local flag football in elementary school, and high school basketball at the Christian School of York. Manny enjoyed playing video games, and making funny videos with his siblings and neighborhood friends. With an ear for music, Manny's gift for drumming was evidenced at an early age. His ability to keep tempo was heard whenever he tapped on tables, or beat pots and pans with a spoon. He displayed his drum talents in his high school marching band and orchestra. During quarantine Manny took an interest in drawing, particularly his favorite anime characters from Naruto, Tokyo Ghoul, Attack on Titan, Vinland Saga, Bleach, and Death Note. He spent countless hours practicing and learning from tutorials. It was also during this time where he began to produce original and catchy rap songs under his iconic name "Mango Juice Dude". Immanuel was a member of New Bethel House of Prayer in Baltimore, Maryland until 2020. He frequently attended Living Word Community Church in York, PA, where he found fellowship and friendship in the Youth Group. Manny was a kind hearted person who always looked for the good in others and believed that everyone deserved a chance. Prior to his death, Manny recommitted his life to God, and could not stop talking about the newfound peace, victory, and joy that he was experiencing in Christ. He was preceded in death by his sister, Victoria-Jolie Embry, his aunt, Sharon Oliver, his uncle James Embry III, and his grandfathers Jerome Oliver Sr., and James Embry Jr. Manny leaves to cherish his memory, his parents Veronica and Isaiah Embry, his grandmothers Johnnie Oliver and Vicki Ray Embry, his siblings, Isaac, Ian, and Victoria-Brooke Embry, his aunts Patrice Oliver, Tanya Gilmore, and Ana Hooks, his uncles Jerome Oliver Jr., Cedric Embry (Linda), Courtney Embry, Israel Embry, Simeon Embry (Nish), Jermaun Embry (Kim), his godmother Gail Franklin, his godparents Oscar Sr. and Monica Palmer, godbrothers and sisters, his best friend Ryan Conn, and a host of cousins and friends. We will forever cherish the beautiful memories our beloved Manny gave us. Gone too soon.
