Obituary of Lorraine Zellner

Minister Lorraine Zellner was born on February 12, 1945, in Baltimore City, Maryland. She was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system and went on to attend Morgan State College, where she studied pediatric care. She built a career rooted in service, first as an elementary school teacher at Saint Bernadine Roman Catholic School, and later at the Social Security Administration, where she retired. In the late 1970s, Lorraine found her church home at what was then known as Life Evangelical Church and devoted nearly 50 years of faithful service to what became Christian Life Church. She served across numerous ministries, including Grief Ministry, Nursing Home Ministry, the Singles Ministry, and as Assistant Sunday School Superintendent, among many others. On January 5, 2023, she was ordained as Minister Lorraine Zellner and retired in March 2024 as Minister Emeritus, leaving behind a lasting legacy of faith and love. Beyond her service, Lorraine was a woman of quiet grace who had a gift for making everyone around her feel seen and valued. She enjoyed traveling, writing, drawing, singing, cooking, and driving. She also volunteered as a Den Mother to the Boy Scouts of Baltimore and generously supported charitable causes, including World Vision. Lorraine Zellner lived an extraordinary and full life, and she leaves this world having truly made it a better place. A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services, 8728 Liberty Road, in Randallstown, Maryland. On Friday, June 12, 2026, a homegoing celebration for Ms. Lorraine Zellner will be held at Christian Life Church, 6605 Liberty Road, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. with services to follow. The interment service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery immediately following the homegoing service.
