—A Dymanic Duo—
DollBaby and Dottie
——————————-
To my dear family, our beloved “DollBaby” has bid bid us farewell,,,and that’s a hard pill to swallow!! For those who knew her, we are all better individuals because of the love, grace, ambition, selflessness and Faith in God which she instilled in us. Now, we must pass on her legacy to future generations,,,whose desire is to live honorable, fruitful and prosperous lives as she did. If she lacked in any formal training, it was definitely made up in mother-wit and common sense,,,That was our “DollBaby”!!
Whether one said “Dottie Mae”, “DollBaby”, “Dorothy Mae”, “Dot”, “Reed”, “Ms. Reed”, “Hey Dot”, “Aunt Dot”, “Grandma”, etc., she answered to all, and wore many hats!! I am going to miss her one-of-a-kind laugh, family visits, and the many many “Loonnnggg” phone calls/interviews, often lasting 2+ hours. (She attempted to collect and assemble all information of what may have happened since our last call). In other words, we did a whole lot of gossiping in an attempt to catch-up!!
Dot loved her City of Birds,,,the “Orioles”, and the “Ravens”; she also took pride in favoring the State of Maryland for its crabs!!! Back in the day (early ‘60s), during my summer visits, (while babysitting Gregory, Sharon, Kathi and Michael), most Fridays Dot or Aunt Lee would bring home some well-seasoned crabs. They taught me how to open, clean/remove the “dead man”, and then enjoy eating some finger licking good succulent crabs!! And, I still love crabs today,,,thanks DollBaby.
I have sooo many beautiful memories of growing up over the years having DollBaby and her family in my life: Your & Buddy’s 25th Wedding Anniversary; watching my favorite couple grace the dance floor; you taking me school shopping; learning to roller skate (or, not); Dot’s craving for “red clay dirt”; attending many family reunions; and the most recent memory, attending a milestone “90th Birthday Gala”,,,You were presented with a personal supply of “red clay dirt”, that I retrieved directly from the banks of Shelton/Blair, South Carolina!!
Now, my heart aches! What I’d do to receive another phone call (5 minutes instead of 2+ hours) just to hear your voice. Although we’ve lost a branch of our family tree, your special LOVE lives on. Dot adored her family, her NSBC family, and people in general. She had faith and trust in God that He would see her through….And that He did!! DollBaby lived well, laughed often and Loved much!!!❤️

Are you urgently seeking a credit repair? Let me introduce you to a hacker I worked with who helped me improve my credit score. In Loving Memory of Our Mom
Mom was more than a mother — she was a constant light, a steady hand, and the heartbeat of our family. When she lost her beloved husband four years ago, we were honored to walk beside her, care for her, and cherish every moment together. What began as caregiving became one of the greatest gifts of our lives.
She raised a son and two daughters who reflects the best of who she was: her grace, her strength, her tenderness, and her unwavering love. In caring for her, we were given the one thing we hope every parent feels — the certainty of being deeply and completely loved.
Mom did not just live a life. She planted one — in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know her. We carry her now, not in grief alone, but in gratitude for every laugh, every quiet afternoon, and every reminder of how sacred ordinary days truly are.
Rest now, Mom. You are free, you are whole, and you are forever ours.
With all our love, The Family
