Ruth Smith, age 93, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 30, 2026, after a life well lived. Ms. Smith was born in Baltimore, Maryland on August 13, 1932. She had been employed as a school teacher prior to retirement. She will be missed by her loving family and friends.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Vaughn C. Greene Funeral Services - East, 4905 York Road, Baltimore, MD 21212, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, in the sanctuary at New Metropolitan Baptist Church, 1501 McCulloh Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21217. The wake will begin at 11:30 am and the homegoing service to follow beginning at 12:00 pm.
The burial will follow the services in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery.
