Obituary of Natalie Renee Anthony

Please share a memory of Natalie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The sacred life story of Natalie Renee Lamb Anthony began on October 28, 1962, as the heavens opened over Melbourne, Florida, delivering a third daughter to Joseph Lamb and Hettie Woods Lamb. Natalie departed peacefully from this life on February 24, 2026, at her home in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Throughout her life, Natalie reflected fondly on the joy of growing up with her mother and five siblings in Uniondale, Long Island, New York. A tightly knit family, she often recalled the love and laughter shared during summers in rural Georgia with her grandparents, David and Rosell Hall. It was during those summers that Natalie discovered a deep love for nature, often helping her grandparents on their five-acre farm or fishing with her siblings in the cool nearby waters. Enjoying long walks in nature and spending quiet time outdoors remained one of her lifelong joys. While at Uniondale High School, Natalie began a new chapter with her best friend and high school sweetheart, Michael Anthony. After completing their studies, Natalie and Michael wed and moved to Frankfurt, Germany, to fulfill Michael's Air Force deployment duties. On September 29, 1986, in Landstuhl, Germany, they welcomed their twin sons, Justin Michael Anthony and Jameil Dominic Anthony. Their love, faith, and patience, along with the protective prayers of their families, guided them through years of marriage, parenting, and life's many victories and challenges. After returning to the United States and settling in Maryland, Natalie committed herself to raising her children while gaining new professional skills. She earned a diploma in Office Automation with Microcomputers from Chesapeake Business Institute and later found her true calling in special education—a cause near and dear to her heart. She volunteered tirelessly at Tanglewood School and Oxon Hill Elementary School, where her sons Justin and Jameil were educated, proudly celebrating their every achievement. One of her proudest moments was witnessing Justin participate in the Special Olympics Challenge Day in 1996 and receiving his participation award at his school. For over 25 years, Natalie served as a Paraprofessional Educator for the Prince George's County Public School System, most recently at Scotchtown Hills Elementary School. She was deeply respected by colleagues, students, and parents alike. Natalie was a passionate advocate for children with special needs, often speaking publicly about her personal experiences to champion the needs of caregivers and educators. Whether at work or in her neighborhood, she used her voice to advocate for safe schools and adequate funding within the Maryland community. In addition to her career, Natalie was a devoted member of Grace of God Fellowship Church. She took great pride in her outreach work, ministering to the less fortunate and organizing food and clothing drives for those in need. Affectionately known to her family as "Renee," she was a generous soul who could always be counted on for support. She was a beacon of light, love, and encouragement, ready at any hour to lend a helping hand, a listening ear, or a thoughtful prayer. She reveled in big family gatherings and traveling with her sisters. With hearty laughter, she often recalled her happiest moments with her son, Jameil, and the quality time she spent with her mother in New York. Her family was, and always will be, the light of her life. Family and Legacy: Natalie's legacy of kindness, compassion, and service will endure forever.
