Bishop Michael Chapman was a man who genuinely loved people and wanted everybody to succeed. He treated me as a niece and always believed in me and in others. We all loved him and he loved us. He was always excited about any achievements and often times acknowledged my travels for work as ministry and was genuinely happy for all that God was doing in my life and in the lives of God’s people. Lord we thank You for this great servant, Bishop Michael Dean Chapman. Lord bring comfort as only You can to this family, church family, covenant Pastor's, Diocese and the many friends who loved this great man of God. Let them celebrate his legacy. A great man of God, faithful in Pastoral care. Faithful in leadership. Faithful in service to the Lord and the Lord's people. Responsible, and caring, A highly respected and appreciated humble man.
His seeds will continue to bear fruit! Grateful for his ministry, service, guidance, spiritual leadership, strength, support, devotion, wisdom, commitment, friendship, sacrifices, kindness, patience, understanding, love, and prayers. Bishop Chapman was a true pillar of the Christian community who has done sacred kingdom work for many years. In every interaction, he always exhibited a spirit of excellence and high character. His pastoral work has touched many in the Baltimore area but also extended to North Carolina and far beyond. We were always extremely blessed by him and the congregation rendering services at the Deliverance Tabernacle Fellowship Cathedral. To me, Bishop Chapman was a dear friend and truly a son in Christ. He was one who made it his business to uplift others through his words and deeds. Because of the Christian bond that exists among us, we too feel your loss at this time.

Bishop Michael D. Chapman, Sr. was a true man of GOD. He always carried a warm smile that reflected the joy and peace within him. His presence made you feel welcomed and encouraged.
One of my fondest memories is when I tarried for the Holy Ghost after becoming a member of Highway on Haywood Avenue. It was Bishop Chapman, who was Deacon Chapman at the time, that ministered to me until I came through. I will always remember his patience, his guidance, and the way he stood with me in that life changing moment.
Bishop did not just preach the Word, he lived it. His life demonstrated faith, integrity, and compassion. He led with wisdom and humility, always pointing others toward CHRIST.
His legacy will live on through the lives he touched and the example he set. Truly, he was a faithful servant of GOD.

A General Who Answered the Call
There are some people we meet in ministry.
And then there are those we are forged with in ministry.
Bishop Chapman was not simply a colleague—he was a co-laborer in the vineyard. We stood in the same house, under the same teaching, carrying the same fire. Before titles were affirmed and assignments were announced, we were servants together.
When my husband and I were sent forth to pastor, he stood in that sacred season with us. And when he, too, was sent out to shepherd God’s people, we watched the faithfulness of God unfold in his life. He did not just accept the call—he embodied it.
