Helen Viola Carr (née Bowen) entered eternal rest peacefully on February 1, 2026. Affectionately known as Aunt Snooki; Helen, born December 2, 1921 was the eleventh of thirteen children (9 girls & 4 boys) to parents William and Lula Bowen of Frederick, MD. In her early twenties, she moved to Baltimore where she worked in a tailor shop and met Nathaniel Carr. This is probably why she was always "dressed to the nines " whenever you saw her. They were married August 22,1945. Nathaniel, an army veteran preceded her in death in 1952 due to an illness. She later became a registered nurse and worked in the health profession mostly as a private nurse for affluent clients until she retired. She loved caring for others and was able to be a 'snowbird' and spend her winters in Florida with clients. Helen was a women of faith and loved the Lord. She was a long standing active member of Douglas Memorial Community Church and attended services regularly until her health began to decline. The last eight years Helen resided at Frederick Villa Nursing Home in Catonville Md. under the caring staff of the facility. She always had a welcoming smile for all her visitors. Helen is survived by her youngest sister MayBelle who lives in York, PA, Denise Carr-Robinson(Goddaughter) and brother Robert Carr, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Lula; and siblings John aka "Poppy", MaryEllen, Bessie, Annie, Katherine aka "Cutes", Charles aka "Charlie", Edna, Francis, Rose, William aka "Buck", James Boyd aka "Boy",
