When my family and I first began worshipping at Immaculate Conception, Robert was one of the very first people who made us feel at home. His kindness and genuine warmth wrapped around us immediately. He was truly one of the pillars of the church -steady, faithful, and always present.
Robert had a way of putting a smile on your face without even trying. His jokes, his clever remarks, and that familiar grin could brighten any day. You could always count on him to show up whether it was singing his solo in the choir (never missing a beat!), offering to drive whenever the church needed him, or simply being there with a helping hand. His love for his church family was evident in everything he did.
He was more than a church member to us, he was a dear friend. I will truly miss my buddy.
On behalf of my family, we extend our deepest condolences to Michelle, Tyra, Jenelle, the grandchildren, and the entire Tates family. Please know that you are in our prayers during this difficult time.
