May this candle's flame flicker, but never burn out. Like Tony's love for you and the children. I will always remember his smile, and admiration for all he did. May you rest peacefully in His loving arms <3

To my Baltimore Family
It’s taken me some time to find the right words to write this. Dee and Tony are those rare, beautiful exceptions — the kind of friends who become family. Though I’ve only known the Hyman family for a short time, our lives have woven together in ways that make it feel like a lifetime. I feel truly honored to have shared such meaningful moments with Tony, Dee, Octavia, and Ro. Thank you for welcoming me and Michael into your lives with so much love.
When Michael and Tony met for the first time, it felt as though they had known each other for years.
Dee, Keep your head lifted, your faith strong, and remember that we are here for you—always. You are Mrs Anthony Hyman FOREVER.
Tony, although we won’t get the chance to attend a Ravens game together next season as we planned, please know that Michael and I will be praying for the entire family. We love you all deeply. Rest easy, my brother. You are missed beyond words.

Pops, words truly cannot describe how I am feeling. This is not only a huge loss for the family. I will miss our talks, our time together, our trips and everything in between. My heart is surely heavy but I am still glad to have you as a father. Surely know that we have things from here and will make sure our girls are good. May you rest easy and I will see you again! Mr. Hyman always supported and loved his children. At every volleyball, our conversations would always start the team and end with how much his children have grown yet have so much more growth to experience. He was a super dad. Firm and tough, but loving and passionate. He always wanted the best for his family

Brother Hyman was the first person I met in Baltimore this past October. He picked me up from the airport. We were the last groups to go up for bed after the encampment for our departure. He was one of the last I got to capture in a photo. His generosity and calming spirit will never be forgotten. I wished I had gotten to have longer conversations with him. My prayers for peace and comfort are extended for the family and friends he leaves behind.

Q: What will you miss most about Anthony?
A: What I would miss the most about him is the way we can click like we knew each other in our past lives, the way starting a conversation was never hard or awkward because it felt like a man to man/farther to son conversation.. What i’m going to miss the most about my God farther is not his absence but the legacy and impact he left behind. Tony wasn’t just my God farther he was a safe place in my eyes, someone I could rely on and trust with my life. I love you dad.

Q: How did you meet Anthony?
A: I met Mr. Tony when I was 2 years old because I went to Mrs. Dee’s daycare center. Ever since then we’ve became family. My mother and I even moved right next door to them years later and didn’t even know. When Mr. Tony found out, he said “ole lord Cupcake right next door now, with all that noise” Lol Since then me and Tay Tay started growing up together, hanging out and going to elementary school. Mr. Tony then became my bonus uncle. He always looked out for me and told me to be good. I’m really gonna miss him saying “Cuppie You’re Crazy” cause he knows I was always cutting up and showing off. But to sum up everything he will truly be missed. I’ll continue to be there for my friend/ cousin Tay, Mrs. Dee and the rest of the family! I’ll keep our memories in my heart.

Q: What will you never forget about Anthony?
A: His ability to show up for others in an instant. I suffered the lost of my mother and son within 6 weeks of each other and both nights that I got the news Tony made sure his wife Dee (my best friend) got to me quickly. He was there to support me and my family without effort or thought because that was him…caring for others without hesitation. I will forever love you beyond words Brother and know I won’t leave Dee or Artavia’s side. Rest in Peace and Love ❤️

Q: How would you describe Anthony to someone who had never met them?
A: If i had to describe my dad to someone who never met him i would say : My dad was the strongest, he knew how to fix everything. When i was down he would lift me up, when i succeeded he would congratulate me. My dad was very smart and kind, his smile could light up a room. He helped everyone around him no matter the circumstances or if they had wronged him. My dad was the best man in the world and no one could ever fill that gap. But now he’s in a better place watching over me and i hope he’s really happy.
