Ms. Gwendolyn McClain Brooks, age 73, transitioned from labor to reward on December 23, 2025. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory: two beloved children, Kelli and Rubin.
A viewing will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services, 8728 Liberty Road, in Randallstown, Maryland.
On Tuesday, January 6, 2026, a homegoing celebration for Ms. Gwendolyn Brooks will be held at Southern Baptist Church, 1701 N. Chester Street, in Baltimore, Maryland, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. with services to follow.
The interment service will be held at King Memorial Park immediately following the homegoing service.
