Reggie was a truly wonderful person. I am so grateful to have had him as a coworker and friend. Despite decades in age difference we shared a similar sense of humor and perspective of the world. I looked forward to seeing him every time I came to work and stopped by his desk as much as I could just to chat.
He was witty, smart, always pleasant and very polite. We could talk endlessly about any topic. Work, news, parenting, politics, rocks, technology, etc.. No matter the subject it was always good conversation and the highlight was his laugh. I will miss his laugh dearly and the way he used his expressions to carry the humor.
He was also a great listener and gave good meaningful advice with a calming and encouraging demeanor. He talked me through some of the toughest times in my life and gave me genuine encouragement. I can only hope he knew how much that meant to me.
Every shift I pass his desk several times and I still look over for him out of habit and I am heartbroken again by the loss of such a wonderful friend and I know I am not alone in that sentiment. Reggie was very respected, well liked and meant a great deal to many of us at work and he truly is missed.

Reggie was many things to many people: a devoted father, a brother, a family member, a trusted coworker, a loyal friend, a comrade in arms, and a military leader. He carried each of these roles with quiet strength, integrity, and purpose.
To me, Reggie was a friend, a colleague, and a fellow officer. We went through Officer Candidate School together and then the Army Officer’s Engineer Basic Course at Fort Belvoir, arriving as newly commissioned second lieutenants and learning not just how to lead, but how to lead well. Reggie possessed a dry, understated wit that could lighten even the most demanding moments. More importantly, he had an unshakable confidence in his friends and in the soldiers he led. That trust inspired loyalty, steadiness, and respect—qualities that defined him as both a leader and a man.
Reggie’s impact endures in the lives he touched and the example he set. He will be deeply missed and always remembered for the character, confidence, and quiet leadership he brought into the lives of those who were fortunate to know him and serve alongside him.
