Please share a memory of Dolores to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Dolores Plummer, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025, at Springwell Senior Living. She was 96.
Born on June 9, 1929, in Baltimore, Md., Dolores grew into a woman known for her kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her generosity of spirit touched everyone she met, and her quiet, steady presence brought comfort in times of both joy and sorrow.
Dolores built a life grounded in love, perseverance, and compassion. She was educated at St. Francis Academy and Coppin Teacher's College in Baltimore, Md. She dedicated more than 30 years to teaching elementary school in the Baltimore City Public Schools, shaping the lives of countless children with patience, warmth, and a deep belief in the power of education. She was also the heart of her family—always ready with a warm meal, encouraging words, or a listening ear. Her laughter filled every room it entered, and her wisdom guided those she cared for through life's challenges.
A woman of deep personal integrity, Dolores found joy in life's simple pleasures: helping to raise family members, participating in church activities at Saint Gregory the Great Church, and celebrating the achievements of those she loved. Her gentle strength and resilient spirit inspired everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Plummer. She is survived by her son, Ken Plummer (Venus); her grandchildren, Erica Ciccotto (Matt) and Courtney Luby (Nick); her siblings, Joyce Thomas, Constance Beckett, and Theodore Street; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom will carry forward her legacy of love and kindness.
