Our earthly angel, Rosa Lee Cliett, entered eternal rest on November 13, 2025. Ms. Rosa was born on December 6, 1942. On Friday, December 5, 2025, a homegoing celebration for Ms. Rosa will be held at Bethel AME Church, 1300 Druid Hill Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21217 where the family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. with services to follow. Our earthly angel, Rosa Lee Cliett, entered eternal rest on November 13, 2025. She lived a life filled with love, faith, and adventure. She never met a stranger—her kindness, compassion, and radiant spirit drew people in wherever she went, leaving behind a legacy that touched countless hearts. Born on December 6, 1942, in Lexington, Kentucky, Rosa devoted her life to sharing God's word and embodying His love. Her parents, Phillip and Evie Terrell raised her with Christian values and the love of God. Rosa gave her life to Christ at an early age at Quinn Chapel AME Church in Lexington, Kentucky, where she served in many areas of the church as a Sunday school teacher, in the Gospel choir, as a missionary and missionary leader, youth leader, avid fundraiser, and a Stewardess. She also created a youth Stewardess board and trained the young women. Rosa was also a fervent prayer warrior and led her life with prayer. One of her many milestone moments, Rosa stood arm in arm with Jesse Jackson and a long line of dignitaries where she was invited to offer prayer at a National Day of Prayer Service. Upon moving to Maryland in 1998, Rosa joined Bethel AME. She served as a missionary, usher at Bethel's Owings Mills location and her favorite, a member of the Ministry of Helps. Rosa's love for travel took her to many corners of the world even Japan, where she embraced new cultures, friendships, and experiences. Yet no matter where she journeyed, her greatest mission was spreading God's love and encouragement. She had a special way of making everyone feel like family, she never met a stranger. Her career was working for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. She then married and became a homemaker. However, her love of business continued she used her savviness to create and operate Rosa's Flowers plus Rosa Personal Care Home. After relocating to Maryland, she continued her care for the elderly in private duty care and retired from We Care Private Duty Services in 2019. Our angel was affectionately known to many as Ms. Rosa, Grandma and her favorite name, Gigi. She was a mother to many plus her children and any child from the neighborhood, school or church that entered her home which was always full of warmth and love. She fed them, taught them how to work and most importantly shared the love of Jesus with them. She taught them through her example of hard work, compassion and the importance of serving others. Her legacy lives in the character, faith and resilience of the generations of children that she cherished. Rosa is survived by her children, Debora Lee (Mark), Alisa Brown (Darral), Phillip Lee, Sr., Dora Hudson (Glen), Juanita Taylor (Michael), Dana Cliett and Luther Cliett (Yolanda). Her beloved grandchildren, Danisha Lee, Phillip Hausley, Adriel Smith (Shawn), Briona Lee, Phillip Lee, Jr. Her special loves were her great grandchildren, Darius Williams, Deron Williams, DaMaya Williams, Dionna Johnson, Dallis Carter, Ava Hausley, Lyric Radford and Henry Williams, V, and so many adopted grands and great grandchildren all who will forever cherish their "GiGi" and her wisdom, laughter, and unwavering devotion. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Evie Terrell, grandsons, LaRon Cliett and DeShawn Graham and former husband, William Cliett.
