Please share a memory of Charles to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Charles Richard Jackson Jr., affectionately known as "Dickeyboy," of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on October 27, 2025, after a brief illness. Born on January 5, 1959, to the late Charles Richard Jackson Sr. and Ethel Ida Jackson, he lived a life defined by dedication, generosity, and love. Charles graduated from Forest Park Senior High School in 1978 and became a Diesel Certified Mechanic through Carver Vocational Technical High School. His career reflected his commitment and skill: he worked as a Store Manager at 7-Eleven, a Diesel Mechanic and Store Manager for Pep Boys, and ultimately built a distinguished 36-year career with the Maryland Transportation Administration (MTA). At MTA, he served as a Bus Diesel Mechanic, Supervisor, Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent, and later as Project Manager overseeing warranties and contracts. He retired on October 1, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of leadership and service. In 1979, Charles met the love of his life, Ernestine Hinton. They married in 1982 and shared 43 years of devotion together. He was a proud and loving father to Nikita E. Jackson and Charmaine R. Jackson, and a cherished grandfather to Michael A. Harris III and Zyair King Richard Harris. Charles was known for his brilliance as a mechanic and his gift for teaching others. Whether fixing cars, building computers, or calculating complex formulas in his head, his talents amazed those around him. He generously shared his knowledge with nieces, nephews, and friends, inspiring many to follow in his footsteps. Beyond his work, Charles enjoyed roller-skating, bike riding, shopping, family trips to Orioles games, cheering for the Ravens, and competing in MTA Bus Rodeos. Music was a constant joy in his life—he loved listening to and singing along with Earth, Wind & Fire, The Isley Brothers, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, and Elton John. Survived By ?
