Bonnie May Wise was born on November 17, 1945, in Baltimore, Maryland. She is the eldest of six children born to the late Otis Rudolph Wise and Audrey Latheia Walker. On Thursday, September 4, 2025, Bonnie entered eternal rest.
Bonnie received her education in the Baltimore City Public School system and proudly graduated from Forest Park High School. On April 4, 1964, she married the late Marion Edward Holly Jr. Their 24-year union was blessed with three children.
Bonnie devoted 45 years of service to the Social Security Administration, rising through the ranks and retiring with a successful and respected career.
In 1959, Bonnie became a member of Refuge Way of the Cross Church alongside her grandparents, affectionately known as Daddy Wise and Mother Wise. Throughout her adulthood, Bonnie remained a faithful and dedicated member of the church. She served as President of the Pastor's Aide Committee, a member of the Trustee Board, treasurer for the Women's choir, a Vacation Bible School teacher, and a committed participant in the church's Adopt-a-Family holiday program.
Bonnie loved the Lord, her family, and traveling. She found joy in exploring the world and took great pride in organizing group trips and excursions for her church family. Her hobbies included reading, water aerobics, shopping, and treating herself to getting her hair and nails done.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, James Frazier and Annie Mae Wise; her stepfather, Charles H. Dorsey; and her dear brothers, Otis "Cornell" Wise and Daniel Wise.
She leaves to cherish her memory her three beloved children: Keith Holly, Darrin Holly Sr., and Tawanda Priester; two daughters-in-law: Tonya Holly and Sybil Holly; one son-in-law: James Priester Sr.; one sister: Paulette Wicks; two brothers: James Wise and David Wise; one sister-in-law: Janet Wise; eight grandchildren: Darrin Holly Jr., Raven Holly, Jordan Holly, James Priester Jr., Dara Priester, Marcus Holly, Donovan Holly, and Grant Holly; one great-grandchild: Dynver Holly; four special friends: Mary "Betty" Rice, Rachel Stevens Griffin, Shirley Holly, and Josephine Cornick; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and cherished friends.
