Dr. Bessie Nelson, age 88, transitioned peacefully from labor to reward on June 16, 2025. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory: a beloved husband, Bishop James Nelson, Sr., and four devoted children.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at The Tab, 8334 Liberty Road, in Randallstown, Maryland.
On Monday, June 30, 2025, a homegoing celebration will be held at the Church of the Redeemed of the Lord, 4321 Old York Road, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with services to follow.
The interment service will be held at King Memorial Park.
