Though at a loss for words, there is always prayer. I'm praying for Davon's family and loved ones, that God comforts and strengthens them in their grief.

Davon was one special guy. He was a student at my school. A few years later he ended up at my wife’s school as her assistant. The day they discovered that Moore was my former student, Tracey (Mrs. Jackson) came home and told me the connection we shared.
I knew she’d be in good hands working with him. She was and their relationship grew. Tracey loved him and became more like a school mom. It was a pleasure watching him mature and accomplish some of his goals and dreams.
R.I.P. Moore! Grateful to have known you. Gone but never forgotten.

Mr. Moore was a joy to work with. Always a smile on his face, he would do anything that was asked of him, and he showed respect to all around him. He will be greatly missed. Heaven has received another angel

I enjoyed every moment of my time at Winand encountering Mr. Moore. While we never got the opportunity to work together, we always stopped for a moment to chat and laugh during the day. He was truly a bright spot on our staff. He was always so polite, kind, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Truly a heart of gold!

Mr. Moore and I share a classroom while I was a second grade teacher at Winand. He was so kind, hardworking, and good with the children. We had a student that loved Peppa Pig and Mr. Moore was such a good support and friend. So now I will always remember Mr. Moore when my children watch Peppa Pig.
I will miss Mr. Moore dearly. I am honored to have known him and shared a classroom with him. May he rest in peace.

I first met Mr. Moore in my friend Tracey’s first grade class at Winand Elementary where he was an assistant. He was always polite, friendly and easy to talk with. He always greeted me with a smile. He was a big help in the classroom and had a nice rapport with kids and everyone . Im glad I had the opportunity to know him. He will be missed !

I was heartbroken to hear of your passing. I’ve been reflecting on all the good times we shared working together and that has been helping me with the stages of grief. I told you on the first day that you were assigned to my classroom that we were family and I thank God that he blessed us with that bond. You will live on in my heart. I will always remember your beautiful smile. ❤️

One thing I will always remember about Davon is his smile. He had a great smile that I now see in his children. And speaking of smiles, I really don’t think I’ve seen Chris smile more than when Davon was in the room. Even when Davon wasn’t talking. There were just lots of smiles and joy in the atmosphere when we were around him. I also appreciated how respectful he always was to myself, my sisters (and their children), and my mother. I am grateful to him because his energy always positively changed the room, whoever he was around. He now lives on through his children, who I will always consider bonus nieces. Rest brother, we will ALWAYS be family and they will ALWAYS be surrounded by our love and support. We will make sure your memory is a blessing today and forever. For us. For your babies. Thank you for the memories and the smiles. Until we meet again, xo Sabra.
