Obituary of Archibald Lewis

Archibald Lewis, the son of the late Archie U. Lewis and Hilda Bradley, was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Archie was raised by his maternal grandmother, Ida Bradley. In 1949, he married the love of his life, Agnes Smith, and through this union they had one child, Cheryl. In 1958, they moved to New York to seek a better life for the family. Archie loved to drive and the majority of his jobs consisted of driving luxury cars. He loved his cars, jazz and an occasional drink of "Jack" or wine. After their retirement, Archie and Agnes relocated to Baltimore, Maryland to be near family. They loved to travel together, whether it was back home to Detroit or casinos in different states. Sadly in October of 2012, God called Agnes home. Throughout the years, Archie continued to live life to the fullest. On November 24, 2024, Archie celebrated his 99th birthday, surrounded by his whole family. On February 11, 2025, Agnes called Archie home. I'm sure she said, "Archie, what took you so long?" Archie leaves to mourn: His devoted daughter, Cheryl Pauley; two grandsons, Torrell Pauley (Natorya) and Tamar Pauley; two great grandsons, Rashawn Lamar Taylor and Trevin Lee Pauley; one sister-in-law, Delores Powell; two nieces, Deborah Jordan (Reginald) and Ruth Sampson; one great-niece, Kali Jordan; one great-great nephew, Kamil Jordan; three first cousins, Rowna Brown (Chet), Lawrence Givens (Delores) and Clarence Givens; one devoted friend, Harold Williams (Paula) of Las Vegas, Nevada and a host of other relatives and friends. -Lovingly Submitted by the Family
