To the Family of Lillie “Pinky” Trusty, I will always fondly remember our growing up years, during our childhood, adolescent, and college years; a friendship that “Pinky” and I, along with many others friends in our neighborhood shared and enjoyed in what we once called Brick City.” Mom Hawkins homemade frozen cups and apples-on-a-stick were some our favorite treats. Pinky was a sweetheart! She was fun-loving and funny. Her laughter and smile were contagious. And she had your back, if you needed her to be there for you. Pinky was ever so radiant and most proud when she spoke of her daughter, Janelle, and the joys of motherhood were evidenced. Pinky’skindness and encouragement that was shared with me during the transition (2015) of my sister, Yvonne, and her dear friend, will always be etched in my heart. Our deepest condolences to you all. Take care of each other and trust God in everything concerning you. May the Peace of God rest with each of you in the days to come. Lovingly, Dr. Paulette Long & Family.
