The Dorothy S. Allen Family Send Our Prayers To All Of Her Family
I am sorry to learn of the passing of Bishop Bertha Greene. She was a faithful member of the former Charity Community Church of God, and we sang together on The Voices of Charity choir for many years. She thoroughly enjoyed singing on that choir and so did I. She was a warm and loving woman. She was a role model to me as well as a friend. I know that Bishop Greene is resting in peace.
I thank God for you.
I was fortunate to work with Bertha, as she liked to be called,at C&P/Bell Atlantic Telephone Co. As a Manager she was kind and considerate to those who worked with her.
One of Bertha's Directory Assistance Operators brother passed and that employee was alone with her brother, at a hospital in DC. Bertha first picked up a very good friend of that employee and together she drove to the DC hospital, so they could comfort and be her at this sad time. It has never been forgotten and this is just one example of her compassion. RIP
It's hard to understand why people are taken from us, but take comfort in knowing you were special part of such a well-lived life. Family and Friends, when your heart is empty, filling it with happy memories can help you find your smile.
